22nd Cemeteries Colloquium, 2021

I hope that this email finds you well, in what are increasingly strange and difficult times.

I am pleased to inform you that the 22nd Cemeteries Colloquium will be going ahead on 19th November 2021 via the Zoom platform, and we are now seeking abstract submissions. The Colloquium has developed into an essential forum for the discussion of new and emerging cemetery scholarship and is multi-disciplinary, accepting papers from across all the humanities and social sciences. The Colloquium has an emphasis on discussion, and its interdisciplinary nature makes the meeting particularly thought-provoking.

The Colloquium is also international, and in this what we hope will be a final year of meeting only virtually, we particularly urge colleagues from around the globe to take the opportunity to attend. The conference attracts specialist interest in this subject area and is a particularly useful forum for new researchers.

Please send abstracts of no more than 250 words in word format to julie.rugg@york.ac.uk by 31st October 2021 and where outside BST indicating your timezone. Please circulate this email to others who may be interested.

Best wishes,

Julie Rugg
